

Now, you can go into your Python IDE and finally connect your bot to discord. This marks the birth of your new Discord bot, so give it a name of your choice and click Create. You should see a New Application button in the top right corner of the page. Simply enter an email address and a desired password to move on. Navigate to and you’ll be prompted to create one. I use Discord on a daily basis since it makes interacting with friends quick and simple.

If you don’t know what Discord is, it’s a messaging app primarily used by gamers that can be used to talk and text with people. I decided to create a Discord bot to experiment with the discord.py library and have some fun while I’m at it.
